Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2017

Breast Cancer Awareness

While Breast Cancer Awareness Month - an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease - is coming to a close, I will never stop supporting the cause.

Statistics about Breast Cancer:

More women are diagnosed with breast cancer than any other cancer

This year, an estimated 252,710 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer

63,410 women will be diagnosed with in situ breast cancer

An estimated 2,470 men in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer

It is estimated that 41,070 people (40,610 women and 460 men) will die from breast cancer this year

Breast cancer is the second most common cause of death from cancer in women in the United States, after lung cancer

Since 1989, the number of women who have died of breast cancer has steadily decreased thanks to early detection and treatment improvements.

These statistics are averages, and each person’s risk depends on many factors

Currently, there are about 3 million women living with breast cancer in the United States with breast cancer

I have family and friends who have battled against Breast Cancer and other cancers.  The battle is real.  In honor of ALL those who have fought a good fight, I am proud to say that I will be making a monetary donation with EACH of of my NC or SC closed transactions.  Together we can find a cure!  I am excited to get started today!
